The flash dryer is a vertical fluidized bed drying device with a rotary comminution device, which is mainly used for the drying of paste-like materials. The main body is a cylindrical drying chamber, which is composed of a pulverizing fluidized section at the bottom, a middle drying section and a top grading section, and can simultaneously complete the pulverization, drying and grading operations of the materials. Flash dryer has the following structural features:

(1) The bottom of the drying chamber is an inverted cone structure equipped with a stirrer. The inverted-cone structure allows the hot air flow section to continuously expand from bottom to top, the bottom gas velocity is high, and the upper gas velocity is low, so that the lower large particles and the upper small particles can be in a good fluidized state. The inverted conical structure also shortens the length of the cantilever arm, increasing the reliability of operation.

(2) There is a grading ring in the upper part of the drying chamber. The role of the classification ring is mainly to make the particles larger, or the materials that have not finished drying are separated from the qualified products. The unqualified products are blocked in the drying room and can effectively guarantee the granularity and moisture requirements of the products.

(3) The drying system is closed. The drying process is continuously operated. The amount of feed, hot air temperature and product particle size can be controlled within a certain range, thus ensuring the indicators of the dried product.

(4) Set crushed, dried and classified into one. The function of the equipment is optimized, the structure is compact, and the floor space is small.

The flash dryer is an optimized combination of fluidization technology, swirling technology, spouting technology and convection heat transfer technology, which greatly simplifies the production process and saves equipment investment and operating costs.

According to the structural features of the flash dryer, the working process is divided into four stages: crushing, gas-solid contact, drying, and grading. The working principle is as follows: After the materials enter the dryer, the blades are agitated and the airflow is crushed to increase the material. The degree of dispersion and surface area per unit volume of wet material. As the agitator crushes and disperses the material, the hot air entering the drying chamber is also in a highly turbulent state and quickly reaches gas-solid mixing, so that the massive material is in a good fluidized state surrounded by hot air. In the process of mass transfer and heat transfer between the material and hot air, most of the water evaporates at this stage. After the material is crushed and the water evaporates, the buoyancy is greater than gravity and the material moves upwards into the classifier. The material spirals up under the entrainment of gas. Under the effect of centrifugal force, the material has a small particle size in the inner ring, and a larger and more humid outer ring. The small particles are brought out of the center of the drying chamber when the moisture content meets the requirements, and the larger and more humid particles continue to be pulverized and dried, thereby ensuring the uniform water content and particle size of the product.
