Donghua University completed a new large-hole fiber membrane wastewater treatment and application project

Recently, Donghua University has completed the “Research and Application Project of Novel Macroporous Fiber Membrane in Wastewater Treatment and Reuse”. The project was searched by the Shanghai Institute of Sci-tech Information, and the results have reached the international advanced and domestic leading level. The project team applied for 7 invention patents, of which 4 have been approved. Membrane combination technology has been developed for textile, printing and dyeing, landfill leachate and other wastewater treatment research, pilot and engineering practices, and in the PVA recovery of desizing wastewater, Lyocell fiber solvent recovery, car wash wastewater treatment and reuse, etc. The field was promoted and applied. At present, complete sets of equipment with a designation of 120 tons/day, 300 tons/day, and 500 tons/day have been designed and promoted in Shanghai, Shandong, Zhejiang and other places, and have obtained high environmental, social benefits, and considerable economic benefits.
Membrane separation technology is considered as “water treatment technology for the 21st century” and is widely used in drinking water purification, seawater desalination, and production of high-purity products. However, the application of membrane separation technology in wastewater treatment and reuse is limited. The main reasons are the following two aspects: Membrane materials and membrane modules are expensive; To achieve the goal of efficient separation, the effective aperture of the membrane is extremely small, and therefore the energy consumption of the operation is high. In order to solve the problems of high cost and low flux of membrane technology, Donghua University has successfully developed a large-flux, low-cost membrane combination technology that is suitable for China's economic and technical characteristics, mainly including dynamic coating technology and control technology for ceramic membranes. . The study of high-throughput, low-cost, multi-component composite fiber membranes, after several hundred formulation tests, developed five series of fiber membranes and studied suitable for advanced treatment and reuse of wastewater, including pretreatments. Complete equipment research and development. Research and development of low-cost, high-throughput composite fiber membranes, operating costs only a quarter of domestic ultrafiltration equipment.
