In this regard, the relevant responsible person said that this is because many mature sites in the province have already carried out many years of PM2.5 research monitoring, the instruments used are all before, when domestic instruments are not so much. In some sites that will be added later, domestic instruments will be relatively more.

In fact, although the "PM2.5 monitoring equipment purchase and use guidance" has not been issued, but from the list of the country's first batch of PM2.5 monitoring equipment certification that the Guangdong provincial monitoring personnel have already mastered, there are six kinds of products, domestic and There are three kinds of imported instruments. As for the argument that imported products are more adaptable to low-concentration areas, the responsible person stated that there is currently no research data to support this view, and instrument manufacturers will also make corresponding improvements to the characteristics of different regions. In the performance of the equipment, especially the long-term stability of the monitoring, the instruments need to pass the assessment of the national indicators.

Regarding the possible differences between the oscillation balance method and the standard method, the reporter learned that Guangdong Province is currently taking the lead in carrying out monitoring. By using a film compensation measurement (called FDMS) on the oscillating balance method, it can basically approach the measurement of the standard method. As a result, the equivalent requirements are satisfied and this method of compensation is also commonly used by Anglo American. The person in charge further disclosed that the procurement subsidies for the central PM2.5 monitoring equipment have not yet reached the provincial level this year, but from the current intention, since the Pearl River Delta has already allocated 62 points through local financial resources, the subsidy will be mainly invested in the economy. The Guangdong, the east, west, and north regions, which are in poor conditions and have weaker monitoring capabilities, are currently preparing preparations for selecting PM2.5 monitoring instruments. However, there are currently 97 national monitoring sites in the province. If all the supporting facilities for the construction of the “new national standard” such as PM2.5 are to be monitored, it is estimated that an investment of 100 million yuan will be required.

According to industry analysts from the environmental protection industry, in order to achieve real-time accurate measurement per minute, PM2.5 monitoring instruments in many major cities in China currently use the oscillating balance method. The core technology of the instrument is monopolized by the US Thermo Fisher Scientific. The price of the instrument is 280,000 yuan. After installing the FDMS compensation measurement and calibration, it is as much as 380,000 yuan. However, some domestic manufacturers have introduced PM2.5 monitor prototypes using the beta ray method. The price of a single unit is only about 150,000 yuan. For second- and third-tier urban environmental monitoring stations with insufficient funds and low real-time data requirements, The competitive advantage of this type of product is very obvious.
