At 10:00 PM on May 18th, there was a terrible accident in the Yongjia section of Wenzhou, which caused three deaths and eight injuries. The reporter learned that two rear-end collision accidents occurred before and after the incident last night, involving a total of 5 vehicles. The traffic police confirmed that the second rear-end accident aggravated the casualties. At about 10:15 pm yesterday (18th), Zhu Yong Highway Yongjia direction 173K (about four kilometers from Yantan exit) traffic accident. The accident resulted in a continuous rear-end collision of a Zhejiang C-license bus, two trucks, and a sedan, resulting in the death of one person on the bus. About 10 minutes after the rear-end accident, there was another Anhui-licensed passenger car at the rear of the accident. Because of the brakes, it crashed into the accident vehicle in front. This collision also caused the driver and one passenger of the Anhui licensed bus to die on the spot. Another eight passengers were injured in varying degrees. After the accident, high-speed traffic police and fire brigade officers rushed to the scene in time for emergency rescue of the trapped in the car. Up to this morning, a total of 42 passengers were evacuated and rescued. Many of them were sent to the hospital immediately for treatment. At present, the cause of the specific accident is under further investigation.
