German Sick Sensor Technology Company Launches Marine Emission Monitor

Recently, Germany's Sick Sensor Technology said that the company has introduced two monitoring devices that can meet the ship's measurement emission requirements and help ships navigate in ports that require emission verification.
It is reported that the company's MARSIC monitors for ships are available in two forms: the MARSIC200 monitor for cold extraction measurements and the MARSIC300 monitor for thermal extraction. Both monitors have been certified by DNV GL (upstream and downstream) for sulfur oxide and carbon dioxide measurement and selective catalytic reduction measurements. Two monitors can also be used to measure methane escaping in LNG engines and dual fuel engines. A single gas analyzer can manage four measurement points and nine exhaust gases simultaneously.
Thanks to their modular design, these emission monitors help engineers on board to carry out convenient repairs and minimize the number of moving parts. In addition, these detectors provide long maintenance intervals and simple repair procedures. . Sick will also provide remote repair services and will be able to supply spare parts through a network operated in more than 80 countries.
These detectors have been certified by the DNV GL type and have received the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) Annex VI, the Nitrogen Oxide Technical Regulations 2008 and the Marine Environmental Protection Committee (MEPC) 184(59).
