The first domestic LNG ship trial was successful

The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship built by Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. has undergone routine tests at sea, and the company's self-made parts such as cargo tank insulation box structural parts have withstood various tests, and the quality fully meets the technical requirements. It is reported that the ship will be delivered at the end of this year.

The ship has been under construction for more than three years since its construction on December 15, 2004. The trial began on the 21st of last month. Late in the day, the ship’s first trial test, the magnetic compass adjustment test, began. Subsequently, the main engine reduction gearbox meshing inspection, host remote control and power failure test, speed measurement, backward emergency stop test, swing test, endurance test, unmanned cabin test and so on. In particular, the sudden emergency stop of the main engine at full speed and the technical content of the reversing test are very high. Due to the full preparation of all parties, the commissioning of various equipment and control systems is in place, and the continuous test has been successfully completed twice. All pilot projects were completed on the afternoon of the 28th. The ship owner was very satisfied with the trial operation and sent a mobile phone message expressing gratitude to the trial management cadre.

After the ship's routine sea trial, the low-temperature loading and unloading system terminal test, gas handling test and clearing measurement will be carried out. To ensure the smooth completion of this series of work, Hudong Zhonghua has formulated a detailed and thorough plan to take corresponding measures in terms of manpower allocation, time schedule, quality control, safety and quality management.
