The new version of the standard is mainly adapted to the creepage distance clearance, electrical strength and related structural requirements to adapt to this change. The new version of the standard has a tendency to relax the creepage distance and clearance requirements of the luminaire. Firstly, it does not distinguish between ordinary luminaires and non-ordinary luminaires (IPX1 and above). It is considered that as long as the enclosure protection can pass, the fixture cavity is equivalent to the IP20 environment. At the same time, the creepage distance and clearance under DC voltage are clearly defined: for the creepage distance, the equivalent DC voltage is equal to the effective value of the sinusoidal AC voltage. For the clearance, the equivalent DC voltage is equal to the peak value of the AC voltage. . This means that the limit of creepage distance can be directly calculated by considering the DC voltage as the AC rms value, and the gap has a peak and RMS conversion. With the reduction of creepage distance clearance requirements, the voltage value of the electrical strength test also shows a downward trend. The additional insulation is reduced to the equivalent of 2U+1000 for basic insulation, and the double insulation or reinforced insulation is reduced to 4U+2000.
