Experts predict the next five trends in China's mechanical engineering technology

The book "China's Mechanical Engineering Technology Roadmap" compiled by more than 100 experts, including 19 academicians, was launched on August 30th. After more than a year of research and preparation, the experts put forward five trends and eight technologies for the development of mechanical engineering technology in 2030.

The five major trends are green, smart, extraordinary, integration, and service. The eight technologies are product design, forming manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, precision and micro-nano manufacturing, bionic manufacturing, remanufacturing, fluid transmission and control, gears, bearings, tools and molds. Experts pointed out that these technological breakthroughs will enhance the basic, key, core technological innovations and major integrated innovation capabilities of China's major equipment development, and enhance the international competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry.

Manufacturing industry will remain an important driving force for China's economic development in the next 20 years. The "China Mechanical Engineering Technology Roadmap" studies the direction and trend of technological innovation, and gives key elements such as development priorities, technical development paths, and implementation time of different time nodes according to time series, and determines the key technologies affecting future leading products (industries) and Its development path provides support for scientifically formulating R&D plans, effectively organizing product R&D, and rationally deploying innovative resources.
